I lay awake , my love is thousands of miles from me, my heart is heavy I want to sleep. middle of the night , the unbearable night summer heat,. the tic of the clock , my droopy eyes and long phone goodbyes, quiet unheard sifhs, my blood in my vains rush my face goes a shade of pink and flush. And I lay awake as well, silently fearing the loneliness of the night as the dark closes in and I try to sleep...only to rise again and jot down some notes, or update something. It's not hot out here, but I feel as if sometimes my mind is on fire with so many thoughts. It and the loneliness keep me up at night.
I will try again for sleep expecting fully that I still be awake some times from now, only to be rudely awaken by my alarm clock a few hours later, trying to pull myself together and do it all again.
